Reports from South Africa say former Dynamos goalkeeper George Chigova collapsed and died at training with his club, SuperSport.
Earlier, Chigova had been diagnosed with a heart ailment which compelled him to take a break off the game.
Among the clubs he has played for in SA is Polokwane City and prior to his move across the Limpopo, he played for Gunners and Dynamos.
The big goalkeeper represented Zimbabwe 30 times, including at the African Cup of Nations, and leaves behind a legacy in the football community.
He passed on a few days after the death of another Zimbabwean soccer legend, Rahman Gumbo, who had taken his coaching skills to Botswana.
