The Zimbabwe national netball team left the country for the Africa Netball Championship, which is set to run from November 28 to December 6 in the Botswana capital of Gaborone.
The Zimbabwe Netball Association say they are hoping for the best results at the Championships.
“The Gems are off to Gaborone, Botswana, ready to dazzle at the Africa Netball Championships!” the netball association wrote on their Facebook page.
The Gems are competing with nine other African countries, namely Ghana, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Namibia, Burundi and Botswana.
The Gems’ sponsors, Nedbank Zimbabwe, wished the girls all the best at the tournament.
“We bid farewell and send best wishes to the Zimbabwe National Netball Team as they head to the 2023 Netball Africa Cup! Let your determination shine, Game on Gems!” Nedbank Zimbabwe said in a statement.
