Harare giants Dynamos are facing a stiff challenge from Ngezi Platinum for the signature of their vice-captain, Emmanuel Jalai, with the Mhondoro-based side reportedly offering double the amount Dynamos have put on the table.

This development has caused Jalai to stall on signing a new deal with the Glamour Boys, despite being one of their key players. Sources close to the player’s camp have revealed that they are unimpressed with Dynamos’ offer, which they feel does not reflect Jalai’s status and importance to the team.

Ngezi, sensing an opportunity, have swooped in with a significantly improved offer, which has understandably attracted Jalai’s attention. The threat of losing their vice captain to a direct competitor has put Dynamos under pressure, but the club’s CEO, Jonathan Mashingaidze, remains confident of retaining Jalai’s services.

“Everything is under control and we are working to make sure we retain Jalai’s services,” Mashingaidze said

However, with Ngezi’s lucrative offer on the table and Jalai’s apparent dissatisfaction with Dynamos’ initial proposal, the situation remains fluid. The coming days could be crucial in determining where Jalai’s future lies, with both Dynamos and Ngezi locked in a tug-of-war for the talented midfielder.

This transfer saga promises to be one of the hottest stories in Zimbabwean football during the current transfer window. Dynamos fans will be hoping that their CEO’s confidence is justified, while Ngezi will be aiming to pull off a major coup by luring away one of their rivals’ star players.
