A Harare man. who was found with an undocumented firearm, will spent his weekend remanded in custody.
Antony Nyamuzereza, 28, of Ushewokunze Phase 4, appeared before magistrate Dennis Mangosi charged with unlawful possession of a firearm.
The State, through prosecutor Thomas Chanakira, alleges that on January 25, 2024, at around 0001 hours, police were informed that Nyamuzereza had a firearm.
The police allegedly went to Nyamuzereza and recovered a .38 Special Taurus Revolver serial number 1262546 with five live rounds of ammunition hidden in a cabin by the accused person.
He failed to produce a Firearm Certificate in respect of the recovered firearm.
Nyamuzereza was ordered to appear on Monday for bail application.
