Man in court for stealing submersible water pump

A man, who allegedly stole a submersible water pump from a Rainham farm plot, has been taken to court.

Robson Zamadura, 40, of Rainham Farm, appeared before magistrate Dennis Mangosi accused of theft.

The State through prosecutor Rufaro Chonzi, alleges that on June 5, 2023, some workers at the complainant's plot number 554 Rainham Farm, Harare secured the property at the plot and went to bed.

It is alleges that Zamadura during the same night, went to the plot and jumped over the perimeter fence into the complainant’s yard.

While inside the yard, he went to the electric borehole and disconnected electricity connections and stole a submersible water pump from the borehole.

On the other occasion, Zamadura went to the complainant’s yard and stole 32 Steel fence droppers from the perimeter fence to the complainant’s plot.

Hee went away with the stolen things.

The matter was later reported, resulting in Zamadura’s arrest.

He was remanded in custody.
