Diaspora Insurance, a UK-based company catering to the needs of African expatriates globally, has unveiled a new Group Funeral Cash Plan. This plan specifically addresses the needs of African communities residing abroad, offering affordable group coverage and ensuring dignified burials for deceased members of various groups.
“The plan brings a sense of uniformity and dignity to each member of a family or group at death,” stated Edwin Tsvere, Channels Director at Diaspora Insurance, in a press release issued on Thursday.
The Group Funeral Cash Plan provides Group Policies and Schemes, making it accessible to various groups within the African diaspora, such as:

With coverage of up to £/€/$20 000 per individual, the plan aims to alleviate the significant financial burden placed on families who need to repatriate the remains of loved ones who pass away overseas.
Diaspora Insurance emphasised in their statement: “The high cost of repatriation, often exceeding US$10 000, has historically placed a significant financial strain on African families in the UK who wish to bury their loved ones in their home countries.”
