Team Zimbabwe is buzzing with confidence and determination as they gear up for the 13th African Games in Accra, Ghana, scheduled for March 8-23, 2023. A contingent of 83 athletes, representing 10 different sports, will be carrying the hopes and aspirations of a nation, eager to leave their mark on the continental stage.

Among them is seasoned athlete Ngoni Makusha, whose experience at international events, including the Olympics and African Championships, fuels his optimism.

“I’m more prepared this time,” he declared in an interview with Zim Now, reflecting on his participation in the 2019 Morocco Games.

“The morale in the camp is promising, and we are all very prepared to bring the medals home.”
