A Mabelreign man, who allegedly hit a lady he lives with at the same address with a stone in a misunderstanding over dogs, has appeared in court.
Terrence Dzvairo, 29, appeared before magistrate Ayanda Dhlamini at the Harare Magistrates’ Courts charged with assault.
He was remanded in custody.
The complainant in this matter is Rosemary Katandika, 23.
The State, through prosecutor Miriro Matapu, alleges that on March 15, at around 2000 hours, Katandika instructed Dzvairo to close the door so that the dogs would not get into the house. This did not go well with Dzvairo who started shouting at Katandika.
The misunderstanding escalated, resulting in Dzvairo picking up a stone and striking Katandika on the head and she started bleeding.
It is alleged that Dzvairo’s uncle came out of the house after hearing noise and Dzvairo ran away.
Katandika was escorted to the police and filed a report.
