Former Zimbabwe international soccer player-turned coach Kaitano Tembo has been relieved of his duties at South African side Sekhukhune United for poor results.
"I wish to thank Coach Kaitano for his dedication and hard work whilst at the Club. Ever the professional that he is, and with his impeccable work ethic, the decision to part ways was an extremely difficult one.
“Sport in general and football, in particular, is results driven, and this remains true for the club that finds itself in a very precarious position in the DSTV Premiership," announced Chief Executive of Sekhunene, Jonas Malatji.
On the log standings, the club sits on second position from the bottom and out of 12 matches, they have won two, drawn five and lost five.
Tembo paid tribute to the team management, the players and supporters for the opportunity before bidding bye to his second SA club as a technical person.
Prior to joining Sekhunene, he was with SuperSport from the junior structures until elevation to the senior team.
