Zinara urges people to judge them on present work as legislators tour operations

The Zimbabwe National Roads Administration has urged legislators to judge the institution on present progress and challenges, arguing that the operations underway are clear and nothing has been hidden.

This was said by Zinara board chairman, Dr George Manyaya after the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Transport and Infrastructural Development toured Zinara.

In his address, Dr Manyaya emphasised the importance of the time taken by the legislators to tour operations covering mandate areas of Zinara.

“Today, we were honored to host members of the Parly Committee on Transport and Infrastructural Development on a three-day tour of our operations. The tour is aimed at affording the  opportunity to appreciate our operations covering mandate areas of Zinara,” Dr Manyaya said.

Bulawayo Minister of State, Judith Ncube who gave the opening remarks, commended Zinara for its transparency and good governance, while urging other institutions and government departments to follow the lead of the road administration.

National Assembly Speaker, Advocate Jacob Mudenda commended legislators who participated at the ongoing workshop to recognise historical antecedent in relation to the centrality of land in Zimbabwe.

Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Transport and Infrastructural Development Chairperson, Knowledge Kaitano appreciated the marked improvement in corporate governance and other developments such the relocation of the Skyline tollgate.
