A man, who allegedly went berserk and pushed the complainant over a staircase, has been denied bail.
Kennedy Desouze of Southerton, Harare, appeared before the Harare Magistrates’ Courts charged with attempted murder.
He will appear in court on April 25 for bail
The complainant in this matter is Michael Shumba, 35.
The State, through prosecutor Tapiwa Tapi, alleges that on March 24, at Southerton shops, Shumba was drinking beer with his friends while sitting on the stair case.
It is alleged that Desouze went to them and demanded beer, but they refused to give him.
It is alleged that Desouze became furious and pushed one of them from the balcony but managed to hold on.
Shumba tried to solve the dispute between the two but Desouze never listened.
This did not went well with Desouze, who suddenly pushed Shumba over the stair case to the ground.
Shumba reported the matter, leading to Desouze’s arrest.
