Bindura Nickel appoints Simon Masvipe as Acting Finance Director

The Board of Directors of Bindura Nickel Corporation Limited have announced the appointment of Simon Masvipe to the position of Acting Finance Director, effective March 13, 2024.

“This appointment follows the resignation of the Finance Director and is made to ensure continuity in the running of BNC’s financial affairs,” said Muchadeyi Ashton Masunda, Board Chairman.

“In due course, the Company will announce the appointment of a substantive Finance Director.”

Masvipe is a familiar face at BNC, having joined the company in 2006 and steadily risen through the ranks.

He has also previously served as BNC’s Acting Finance Director.

Masunda said that with a proven track record in finance, Masvipe brings 19 years of experience to the table.

“He is a seasoned and qualified finance professional with expertise in accounting, financial reporting, taxation, audit, corporate governance and regulatory compliance,” the announcement highlighted.

His experience spans Zimbabwe’s financial services and mining sectors.

The Board conveyed its confidence in Masvipe, congratulating him on his appointment and wishing him success in his new role.

“His vast experience was acquired in Zimbabwe’s financial services and mining sectors. The Board congratulates Mr. Masvipe on his appointment and wishes him success in this role,” further reads the announcement.
