Nyabinde appointed as NACZ Communications Manager

The National Arts Council of Zimbabwe has appointed Afro Jazz artist and a son to the late jazz legend Bob Nyabinde, Aggabu Nyabinde, as their communication and marketing manager with effect from June 2024.

In a statement, the Executive Director of NACZ Napoleon Nyathi said Nyabinde has experience in the media and marketing landscape.

"Aggabu is a seasoned brand manager with vast experience in the media and marketing landscape."

Aggabu's professional career started at the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation where he was a Marketing Executive.

He worked for AB Communication (Pvt) Ltd (ZiFM Stereo, Hevoi FM, 98.4 FM, Might Movies and Trruck Ads Media) as key Account Manager from 2015 to 2019.

He joined Mtaka Media for a year as a Marketing Manager before moving to Zimpapers Television Network where he was a Senior Sales Executive.

Nyathi said Nyabinde is joining the organisation from Protobac, where he was a Consultant Marketing Manager for a South African based firm.

Nyabinde is a holds a B.com Honors degree in Marketing Management with Midlands State University, certificate in Digital Marketing with Marketing Association of Zimbabwe and he is currently studying for a Masters degree in Strategic Brand Management with MSU.

"The Council welcomes Aggabu and looks forward to his valuable contribution in upholding the brand images and effective communication between the organisation and its stakeholders," Nyathi added.
