The Judiciary Services Commission today celebrated its 14th year anniversary commemoration with a march across Harare CBD announcing the fourth phase of digitisation which will focus on the Magistrates’ Court.

“This year’s celebrations are being held in all the provinces under the theme “Phase 4 is coming: Magistrates' Court going digital."  The theme highlights the JSC's latest initiative to digitise operations across all magistrates' courts in the country. As we celebrate our 14th year, we are excited to announce the fourth phase of the Integrated Electronic Case Management System that will be implemented on 1 January 2025. The magistrates’ courts will now go digital. The digitisation of the Magistrates’ Court will be done province-by-province, starting 1 January 2025,” said JSC in a statement.

The Commission said that phase four will see full implementation and rollout of the digital case management system, e-filling among other solutions at magistrate’s courts across the country, adding that the Commission has been undertaking digital transformation of the system in phases starting with superior courts.

“This is a critical step towards ensuring efficient, transparent, and accessible justice for all Zimbabweans,” reads the statement.
