A 37-year-old man from Hatcliffe Extension, Peterson Karimbika has been charged with theft of trust property by Magistrate Dennis Mangosi after he was given 50 bags of cement to sell by the complainant and failed to give him the money.
Karimbika was allegedly given 50 bags of cement to sell at number 560 Harare Drive, Borrowdale, by the complainant between December 2023, and January 2024.
It is alleged that he sold the cement and failed to give back the money to the complainant.
The court heard that the complainant then followed asking for the money but Karimbika became evasive and refused to handover the money.
He was remanded in custody.
