Tobias Chodavaenzi, 54, and Leonard Muzenda, 24, have been arraigned before the Chiredzi Magistrates court facing nine counts of armed robbery.
The duo committed a spare of robberies at various business centres around Chiredzi between January 9 and February 25, 2024.
The two were reportedly armed with a Revolver Taurus pistol which they used to terrorise shop owners targeting cash, cellphones, groceries and household property.
According to the National Prosecuting Authority, police investigation led to the recovery of the firearm used to commit the crimes.
The accused persons were sentenced to 70 years, of which five years were suspended on condition of good behaviour.
They will serve 65 years effectively.
