Sports Tourism Incorporated and Eco-Tourism Africa is set to host the last edition of the Lake November Sports Tourism and Music Festival, which returns to Kariba from 25 to 27 November.
The shut-down experience aims to continue enhancing sports tourism, fitness and wellness as well as development.
Sports Tourism Incorporated and Eco-Tourism Africa Public Relations and Marketing Director Malvin Kanjere said the aim of the Sports Tourism Experience is to help revive domestic tourism and development for resort communities.
“The drive behind the event is to promote domestic tourism through social support and give an opportunity for citizens to enjoy their country through sport.
“There will be a cruise after party where artistes will perform in partnership with Tour- Tour Travel which is planning the entertainment side,” he said.
Kanjere revealed some of next year’s upcoming events, including the Kariba Sports Tourism Experience in March, The Victoria Falls Sports experience in September and the return of the Chivero Rhino Run at Lake Chivero Game Park.
The Sports Tourism Experience will include tug of war as the main sport, soccer, netball and volleyball.
Ecotourism Africa advocates for responsible tourism, as well as supporting projects which provide better livelihoods to marginalised persons.
