A newly constructed block of three Early Childhood Development classrooms at Masuku Primary School in Tshabalala was unveiled this past Tuesday.
Bulawayo South Legislator and Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce Raj Modi presided at the ceremony where the outgoing Ambassador of India to Zimbabwe Vijay Khanduja was the guest of honour.
Ambassdor spoke of his government’s dedication to bolstering Zimbabwe’s economic development and the strong bilateral ties between the two countries. He leaves Zimbabwe to take up his new post as India's next High Commissioner to Cameroon.
“Thank you to everyone who attended the ECD block handover ceremony. Your presence and support made this event truly special. Together, we are making a lasting impact on the future of our children and our community,” wrote Modi on his X wall.
The block was constructed and finished at a cost of US$65 000 with the assistance of the Indian Government which worked with Mr Modi and the School Development Committee spearheaded the project which valued
Minister of State for Bulawayo Metropolitan province Judith Ncube, various Members of Parliament, councillors, and community leaders all joined the celebrations of the collaborative efforts.
