Harare giants Dynamos were left to rue a plethora of missed opportunities as they salvaged a late 1-1 draw against Yadah at Rufaro Stadium yesterday.
The Glamour Boys dominated possession but were incredibly wasteful in front of goal, with their strikers seemingly incapable of converting clear-cut chances. Evans Rusike’s well-taken first-half goal for Yadah looked set to be the difference, but a late equalizer from substitute Valentine Kadonzvo rescued a point for the home side.
Dynamos created chance after chance, with Sadney Urikhob, Emmanuel Paga, and Alex Mandinyenya all guilty of missing golden opportunities. Coach Genesis Mangombe expressed his deep concern over his team’s inability to finish, attributing the draw to poor execution in the final third.
Yadah, on the other hand, employed a counter-attacking strategy and posed a threat on the break. Despite creating several chances of their own, they were ultimately happy to settle for a point. Coach Thomas Ruzive praised his team’s defensive resilience but admitted that they were fortunate to escape with a draw.
The result leaves Dynamos in seventh place on the log standings, while Yadah remain in the relegation zone
