Hubby granted peace order against abusive ex wife

Lazerouse Chipfeya has secured a peace order against his ex-wife, Emma Chitsike, citing her aggressive behaviour and a rather unorthodox verbal assault.

Lazarouse Chipfike claims that his former spouse not only resorts to physical confrontations but also taken a publicly belittling him by questioning his masculinity.

“I want her not to talk to me, she comes to my house and beats me, sometimes when we meet in public she touches my underwear and she says my manhood is small and people will be taking videos” said Chipfeya.

The man, seeking to protect his wellbeing and dignity, has requested that she refrain from any further communication with him and by extension, with those whom she associates with.

The ex-wife declared, “we have a child together and am pregnant for his child, I can’t stop talking to him.

“The only time I went to see him was when I was sick and I wanted to collect some medication and I found him with his girlfriend and I was angry that’s when I lit fire on his doorstep," Chitsike said.

In response Chipfeya denied his ex wife's claims of pregnancy.

“She is not even pregnant, if she is, the child is not mine because I can’t have any sexual intercourse with the person who assaults me, she is a prostitute.”

Chipfeya was granted the peace order by Magistrate Meenal Narotam.
