Two security officers have appeared in court for stealing mining equipment worth more than US$194 000.
Fungai Mufundirwa, 38, a security Manager at Garlpex Investments Private Limited and Kaseba Cosmas Ngwenya, 72, a guard at the same company were arraigned before the Hwange Magistrate court on theft of trust property charge.
The allegations states that in July 2024, Ngwenya and Mufundirwa asked two men to find them some buyers for the mining equipment.
The men brought a buyer from Bulawayo who bought the equipment for US$3 000 and later resold it to a company in the city.
