Police are on the hunt for a rogue security guard who stormed ZB Bank Sanyati and got away with US$134 000 and R33 800 by.
According to a leaked police communication, allegations recorded under case number ZRP Sanyati RRB 5954912 are that on Saturday September 14, at around 13:30, the Branch Manager at ZB Bank Sanyati closed the bank and instructed all the workers to enter into a cash room in order to count money.
Samson Mahohoma, 46, of Arda Compound Sanyati, employed by Peace Security, then went into the cash room armed with his rifle and ordered everyone to lie down.
Mohohoma placed all the money in a sack and ordered all workers to surrender their mobile phones and keys before locking them inside the cash room and making good his escape.
The total value stolen is US$134 000 and R33 800 and nothing was recovered.
The case is now under investigation by Kadoma CID.
