WUA men's handball team clinches gold at FASU games

In a historic victory, the Women's University in Africa  Men's Handball team has secured the gold medal at the 11th Federation of African University Sports Games . The team's thrilling 40-39 victory over Lagos State University in the final showcased their exceptional talent and determination.

 WUA coach Shemaiah Bota expressed his immense pride and excitement in an interview with Zim Now. "Our team proved they are true champions, surpassing all expectations with their remarkable performance," Bota said. "Their grit and determination shone through, and they ultimately prevailed."

 WUA's captain, Brian "Maestro" Naison, shared his overwhelming pride and emotion, reflecting on the team's journey to the championship. "As underdogs, we faced countless challenges and doubters, but our resilience and unwavering belief in each other propelled us to victory," he stated.

 The final match was a nail-biting affair, with the scoreline fluctuating throughout the game. WUA's dominance ultimately gave them the edge, securing their place in FASU Games history.

 The team's coaching staff played a vital role in their success, providing expert guidance and unwavering support throughout the tournament. This championship title serves as a testament to what can be achieved through hard work, passion, and unity.
