A 16-year-old girl was reported missing after she did not reach Marondera where she was going to see her parents.
Blessing Muungani was last seen boarding a bus to Marondera from Makoni Shopping Centre in Chitungwiza on 11 November but she has since not reached Marondera.
The girl Form Two student at PaIshe College in Nyatsime where she was staying with her sister, Ropafadzo Muungani.
Speaking to ZimNow, Ropafadzo said she accompanied her to Makoni Shopping Centre where she boarded the bus to Marondera.
Ropafadzo also said when she arrived home, she noticed that some of her home utilities were missing.
“She collected money from my customers, stole US$20, pots and groceries.
“She also had a bag of second-hand clothes that I had given her for my mother to sell. I found other clothes thrown under the bed,” she said.
Blessing’s mother, Shine Machiva, said they have not reported the case to the police because they suspect that she might have eloped with her 18-year-old boyfriend only identified as Oscar, whom she was reportedly dating.
Oscar is also reported to have disappeared.
