Government has approved a plan to implement 192 priority projects by the end of the year, spanning all provinces. The initiative is part of the third 100-day cycle of 2024, which commenced on September 4 and is expected to conclude by December 13.

According to Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services minister, Jenfan Muswere, the projects fall under various thematic areas of the National Development Strategy 1. "The 192 projects are clustered according to 14 thematic areas of NDS1," he remarked, with significant focus placed on infrastructure, governance, economic growth, and social protection.

Each province has been allocated a set number of projects, with Harare leading with 75 projects and Bulawayo following closely with 42. Other provinces such as Mashonaland West and Midlands are also set to benefit with 60 and 58 projects respectively.

Infrastructure development remains a key pillar, with 37 of the total projects dedicated to improving the country's utilities and infrastructure. Additionally, 21 projects aim to enhance governance, while 17 will focus on boosting economic stability and growth.

Government has emphasized the importance of these projects in improving the lives of citizens. "The Special Advisor to the President on Monitoring Implementation of Government Programmes will continue to monitor the projects using the Executive Electronic Dashboard," he added, highlighting the government's commitment to ensuring timely and effective completion.
