Emerging  gospel artiste, Anold Musakwa, has dropped an early Christmas present for gospel music lovers following the release of his debut single on October 17.

The single, titled Tonosangana Ikoko, features veteran sungura singer, Madzibaba Zakaria,, Pastors Trymore Bande and Elisha Ndadzira.

Zakaria and Bande are established names in the music industry, with Zakaria - through whom many successful musicians passed through, being given the moniker Senior Lecturer.

In an unusual style, Musakwa's debut offering is accompanied by visuals.

Speaking to Zim Now, Musakwa, who opted to be backed by the trio instead of his backing group, The Glory Messages Crew, said the song, Tonosangana Ikoko seeks to encourage people to love one another as our days on earth are numbered.

"We must learn to love one another not to look down upon others because we are not here on earth forever.

"Peace, harmony and unity must have special places in our day -to-day lives.

"After our demise, we will all go to heaven and leave all our earthly belongings behind", Musakwa, who is currently based outside the country, told Zim Now.

Although Musakwa says he was inspired by Freddy "Kapfupi" Manjalima, he chose gospel ahead of other genres because he was raised in a  Christian family, fellowshipping at the Methodist Church in Zimbabwe, and later Johanne Masowe WeChishanu Church.

Speaking about his collaboration with the trio, he said he roped them in so as to widen the reach of the rich message carried on the track.

Born in 1987 in Murehwa, Musakwa did his early primary education at Kushinga Primary School in Mutoko, Mashonaland East Province before transferring to Ngezi Barracks Primary School in Mashonaland West Province where he completed his primary studies.

He returned to Mutoko for his secondary education at Kushinga Secondary School.

After completing his secondary education, Musakwa enrolled with a nursing school in Chipinge.
