Social media influencer Admire Mushambi, known to his followers as Mama Vee, has filed a defamation lawsuit against award-winning rapper Holy Ten. The lawsuit stems from accusations that Holy Ten publicly labelled Mama Vee as homosexual, a claim that the influencer argues has severely damaged his reputation and business prospects.
According to legal documents filed on March 19, 2025, Mama Vee’s legal team asserts that Holy Ten, whose real name is Mukudzei Chitsama, made these defamatory remarks on his Instagram account and during an interview with DJ Ollah 7.
In their legal correspondence, Mama Vee’s lawyers state, “Our client has worked tirelessly to build a respected brand and has established partnerships with multiple reputable companies. The false and malicious statements made by Holy Ten have caused significant harm to our client’s reputation.”
The controversy began when Holy Ten allegedly shared a video on his Instagram page (@holytenmusic), referring to Mama Vee as a "Ngochani," a derogatory term for homosexual. The situation intensified when Holy Ten repeated similar claims during a widely viewed interview on March 18, 2025.
Mama Vee’s legal team insists that these statements were not only false but also intended to tarnish his image. “These remarks have subjected our client to public ridicule and professional setbacks,” the legal letter continues. “We demand an immediate retraction and a public apology. Should this not be provided, legal proceedings will follow.”
