CAPS United's poor start to the season continued this weekend as they succumbed to their fifth defeat of the season, losing to Bikita Minerals in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer Match played at Rufaro Stadium. The Green Machine's struggles have seen them drop to the bottom of the table, with just a single win and a draw from their first six matches.

Despite a decent showing, the Lloyd Chitembwe-coached side failed to find their touch in the final third, which ultimately cost them. Innocent Masiiwa's last-minute goal proved to be the difference-maker, punishing the Green Machine for their lack of clinical finishing.

The match was poorly attended, a sign that the fans are growing frustrated with the team's form. CAPS United's struggles have been well-documented this season, and it remains to be seen how the team will respond to the challenges ahead.

Meanwhile, fellow strugglers Triangle United bagged their first victory of the season after beating Yadah by a single goal. The victory took Triangle to four points, level with CAPS United, but they still anchor the standings due to an inferior goal difference.

In another match, Herbert Maruwa-coached TelOne recorded a massive comeback, rising from two-nil down to force a two-all draw against Manica Diamonds at Sakubva Stadium.

The PSL action continues this  afternoon, with several blockbuster matches on the cards. Ngoni Stadium will host its first PSL match when MWOS hosts Dynamos, while Chicken Inn takes on Simba Bhora at Luveve Stadium. Other exciting matches include Scottland FC vs FC Platinum at Rufaro Stadium and Highlanders vs Ngezi Platinum Stars at Baobab. Kwekwe United will round off the day's action as they host Herentals at Bata Stadium.
