Two Foreigners Nabbed with Suitcases Full of Dagga at RGMI

 The Zimbabwe Republic Police has arrested two foreign nationals at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport in Harare for drug trafficking after they were found in possession of large quantities of illicit substances.

The suspects, who were travelling from Thailand to Zimbabwe, were intercepted upon arrival at the airport. According to ZRP, the duo was carrying four monarch-branded suitcases containing a total of 69.9 kilogrammes of loose skunky dagga.

The breakdown of the drug haul is as follows:

  • First suitcase: 18.5 kgs
  • Second suitcase: 17 kgs
  • Third suitcase: 18.4 kgs
  • Fourth suitcase: 16 kgs

Authorities have not yet released the identities or nationalities of the suspects. 

The police have confirmed that investigations are ongoing and further details will be released in due course.
