ZSE mourns the passing of former chairman Ndodana Mguquka

The Zimbabwe Stock Exchange has announced the passing of its former chairman, Ndodana Mguquka, a highly respected figure in Zimbabwe’s capital markets. He was 51.

In a statement released Friday, the ZSE Board, Management, and Staff expressed their condolences to the Mguquka family, describing him as a cornerstone of the local stockbroking community.

“Ndodana, a former Chairman of the ZSE, was highly respected in the stockbroking fraternity,” the statement read. “At the time of his untimely passing, he was the Principal Stockbroker for Fincent Securities. Ndodana played a pivotal role in the growth of the capital markets, having spearheaded various privatization deals and mergers as a sponsoring broker.”

ZSE Chief Executive Officer Justin Bgoni also paid tribute to Mguquka, acknowledging his invaluable contributions to Zimbabwe’s financial landscape.

“His untimely departure deeply saddens us. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Mguquka family, the entire stockbroking fraternity in Zimbabwe, and his colleagues at Fincent Securities during this difficult time,” the statement continued. “May his soul rest in eternal peace.”

Mguquka’s passing marks the loss of a veteran who left a lasting impact on Zimbabwe’s financial sector.
