The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority has announced that fuel prices for May 2025 will remain unchanged from the previous month, with petrol (Blend – E20) priced at US$1.53 per litre and diesel (Diesel 50) at US$1.52 per litre.
In a statement, ZERA said the maximum pump prices will remain effective until June 4, 2025. Local currency prices have been set at ZWG$40.99 per litre for petrol and ZWG$40.79 per litre for diesel.
ZERA Said that the blending ratio remains at E20 and urged operators to clearly display prices in compliance with fuel pricing regulations. Retailers are allowed to charge prices below the stated maximums, depending on their trading circumstances.
"The public and operators are advised that the blending ratio is at E20," ZERA stated. "Operators may sell petroleum products below the prescribed prices depending on their trading advantages and must display prices prominently, as required by the fuel pricing regulations."
This latest price confirmation comes as global fuel markets continue to stabilize, offering consumers and businesses consistent fuel costs for the second consecutive month.
