The 2025 Chinese Bridge Competition Finals took place at the University of Zimbabwe, bringing together students, teachers, and guests for a vibrant celebration of language, culture, and international friendship. The event was a colourful display of talent and connection between China and Zimbabwe.

This year’s finals took place during Africa Month and Zimbabwe’s National Cultural Month, adding deeper meaning to the occasion. It was a perfect time to celebrate the rich cultures of Africa and the growing ties between nations.

Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Mr. Zhou Ding, attended the event and praised the spirit of learning and exchange. “Through education and cultural exchange, we are nurturing a new generation of leaders and citizens with a global perspective,” he said. “Together, we are building strong friendships that go beyond borders.”

Over the years, the University of Zimbabwe has developed strong partnerships with top Chinese universities, research centres, and businesses. These partnerships give students valuable skills, real-world experience, and the chance to explore new ideas and technologies.

The Chinese Bridge Competition is a yearly event that encourages young people to learn the Chinese language and understand Chinese culture. It also builds bridges of friendship and cooperation between China and other countries.
