As the nation was celebrating 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence under the theme “UNITE! Activism to End Violence Against Women and Girls”, prominent Capitalk DJ Loston Storo, popularly known as Mukoma Loshto, was last week being taken to the police on assault charges.
The case, which was reported at Harare Central Police Station under IR120616, involves his then-pregnant wife Jacquline Chikuvira, a staunch CAPS United fan.
Loshto is expected to appear in court soon after a medical affidavit gleaned by ZimNow shows that Chikuvira suffered a miscarriage after the assault.
“He kicked me in my tummy with his knee and he slapped me with open hands, from there I was just bleeding until the doctors confirmed that I had suffered a miscarriage,” Chikuvira told ZimNow.
Loshto is well known for using street lingo when he is on the turn tables.
