
The Airports Company of Zimbabwe has strengthened its presence on the international stage, with four of its top executives appointed to senior roles at Airports Council International Africa.
The appointments, announced at the 74th ACI Africa Annual Conference in Lusaka, Zambia, underscore Zimbabwe's growing influence in the continental aviation sector.
ACZ CEO Mr. Tawanda Gusha was re-elected to the ACI Africa Board, extending his tenure and influence on the continent’s aviation strategy.
"We are truly humbled by these appointments, which reflect our commitment to excellence," ACZ said.
"This recognition is a testament to the hard work and expertise of our team."
Meanwhile, three other ACZ executives were appointed to key committees.

Daniel Muchuchuti, Director of Information & Communication Technology, was named Chair of the Facilitation, Technology, and Innovation Committee, a crucial role in shaping the future of airport operations.
Rumbidzai Ndavambi, Director of Human Resources and Administration, joined the ACI Africa Human Resources and Leadership Committee.
Lastly, Davies Mandove, Quality Assurance Manager, was appointed to the ACI Africa Environment and Sustainable Development Committee, where he will contribute to vital discussions on sustainable aviation.
"This is a major step forward for ACZ," the company added.
"It allows us to contribute directly to shaping the future of African aviation and to bring back best practices that will benefit our airports and passengers."
The conference, which brought together aviation leaders from across Africa, focused on critical topics such as air traffic management, non-aeronautical revenue streams, and the implementation of global safety protocols.
The recognition is expected to elevate ACZ's profile and strengthen its capacity to contribute to the growth and innovation of African aviation.
