The Zimbabwe Nurses Association (ZINA) has partnered with Highrange Resources to provide residential stands to its members under a five-year payment plan, in an initiative aimed at improving access to home ownership for nurses.
The stands are located in St Lucia, Norton, with each 300-square-metre stand selling for US$9,600.
Under the arrangement, nurses will pay a US$600 deposit, followed by monthly instalments of US$150 over 60 months.
ZINA said the scheme is intended to provide its members with a structured route to home ownership, with nurses allowed to start construction once they have paid 50% of the stand's purchase price.
"The Zimbabwe Nurses Association (ZINA) and Highrange Resources have entered into a partnership aimed at providing residential stands for its members across the country," the association said.

The arrangement means a nurse would need to have paid US$4,800 before commencing construction, provided the 50% threshold includes the initial deposit and subsequent instalments.
ZINA said the stands are being made available specifically to its members, with the payment structure spreading the US$9,600 cost over five years.
"The 300sqm stands are being sold at a cost of US$9,600 each. Nurses are required to pay a US$600 deposit, followed by monthly instalments of US$150 over a period of 60 months," the association said.
The association added: "ZINA members will now be eligible to commence construction of their houses after paying 50% of the total stand value."
The initiative comes as housing remains an important welfare issue for Zimbabwe's public-sector workers, including health professionals whose earnings are largely denominated in a combination of foreign currency and local-currency components.
The scheme could also provide an opportunity for nurses outside Norton if similar housing arrangements are extended to other areas, given that ZINA represents members across the country.
