
Businessman Phillip Chiyangwa’s son, Phillip Munetsi Chiyangwa (25), has been hauled before the courts on allegations of unlawful possession of dagga.
Chiyangwa, together with his co-accused Tanaka Phil Kashambe, appeared before Harare magistrate Ms Lisa Mutendereki. The pair was remanded in custody pending a bail ruling after the State opposed their release.

According to the prosecution, on October 1, 2025, detectives from the CID Drugs Harare received a tip-off about suspected drug activity at a house located at 38 Bosscobell Road, Highlands, Harare.
Later that day, detectives moved in on the property. While they were stationed inside the premises, Chiyangwa reportedly arrived driving a Toyota Hilux with Kashambe occupying the passenger seat.
The officers approached, identified themselves, and requested to search the vehicle. During the inspection, a sachet of dagga was allegedly discovered between the front seat and the handbrake.
Both men were arrested on the spot and taken, along with the recovered substance, to the CID Drugs and Narcotics Harare offices for further processing.
