Police have named the names of the three people who died on the spot when a Harare-bound Inter Africa bus veered off the road and ploughed into a yard at Madondo Village under Chief Nhema in Zaka yesterday.
Masvingo provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa said the deceased are Mary Gomo, 43, from Chihanya Village, Margaret Chidari, 43, and Chelsea Tanatswa Chidari, 4, from Fambai Village, under Chief Nhema in Zaka.

He said the bus, with 75 passengers on board was heading towards Nyika Growth Point, when the driver failed to negotiate a curve at the 15km peg along the Zaka-Makuvaza road, and veered off the road to the right, hitting three pedestrians who were standing on the side road.
The bodies of the deceased were taken to St Antony’s Musiso Hospital in Zaka for a post mortem.
The Inter Africa bus was reportedly speeding according to witnesses.
