
Zimbabwean communications professional Hazel Kwatengera has been appointed Senior Manager – Media and Content Creation at the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe, marking a major milestone in her fast-rising career.
The announcement was made by Nicolas Pompigne-Mognard, founder and chairman of APO Group, where Kwatengera previously worked.
Pompigne-Mognard praised Kwatengera’s exceptional performance and professionalism, describing her journey as an inspiring example of growth and leadership within the communications industry.
Kwatengera joined APO Group in 2023 as an Account Manager based in Zimbabwe and quickly rose through the ranks to become Senior Account Manager in 2025.
During her tenure, she managed several of the company’s most prestigious accounts, including Canon, Mukuru, and Liquid Intelligent Technologies.
Reflecting on her departure, Pompigne-Mognard said he has always viewed leadership as a way to empower others to reach their full potential.

He added that when companies treat their people well, they not only retain valuable relationships but also create lifelong allies and ambassadors.
“When you treat people well, they often become lifelong allies, invaluable members of your network, and sometimes even your best ambassadors. Some may even come back after a few years — the door is always open,” he wrote.
Pompigne-Mognard congratulated Kwatengera on her new role, expressing confidence that she would continue to excel and make a meaningful impact.
