Delta Remits Over US$147 Million in Taxes for Half-Year, Up 19%


 

Delta Corporation Limited has paid over US$147 million in taxes to the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority during the six months ended 30 September 2025, representing a 19% increase from the prior year, according to its unaudited financial results for the half year.

The company said the tax payments were made in line with its ongoing obligations and pre-existing payment plans. It added that it continues to contest additional assessments issued by ZIMRA amounting to US$73 million for prior periods between 2019 and 2022.

For the period under review, Delta recorded a 32% increase in revenue to US$514.2 million, up from US$389.1 million in 2024, supported by growth across all major business segments and the consolidation of Schweppes Holdings Africa Limited.

Operating income rose by 54% to US$99.6 million, while profit before tax increased to US$104.8 million from US$55.8 million a year earlier.

The group’s Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation stood at US$112.4 million, up 51% from the previous year. Profit attributable to shareholders grew by 69% to US$75.2 million.

Delta declared an interim dividend of US2 cents per share, payable on 11 December 2025, following strong performances across its lager, sorghum beer, non-alcoholic beverages, and wines and spirits segments.

The company said it continues to engage ZIMRA over ongoing tax disputes, with guidance from legal and tax experts. 

The board reaffirmed that the group remains committed to meeting its statutory obligations while pursuing a fair resolution of historical tax matters.
