ZRP Investigates Abduction of Chinhoyi University Students

 

The Zimbabwe Republic Police has launched investigations into the alleged abduction of two Chinhoyi University of Technology students earlier this week.

In a statement released on Wednesday, police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed that the incident involved Lindon Zanga ,21, and Malvin Madanda ,29, also known as Saint. 

The alleged abduction reportedly took place on November 10, 2025.

Commissioner Nyathi urged members of the public with information on what transpired or the possible location and identification of suspects to assist the police. 

He encouraged anyone with relevant details to contact any nearest police station, the CID Chinhoyi office on 0719 019 118, the National Complaints Desk on (0242) 703 631, or via WhatsApp at 0712 800 197.

Authorities have not yet released further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the alleged abduction, but investigations are ongoing.

The incident has sparked concern among students and the public, with many calling for swift action to ensure the safety of learners within and around university communities.
