Geo Pomona bolsters Harare waste collection with new fleet

 

Geo Pomona Waste Management Pvt Ltd has taken a significant step toward strengthening waste collection services in Harare with the arrival of new refuse collection equipment in Zimbabwe. The development marks a major boost to the company’s operational capacity as it works to modernize solid waste management in the capital.

The company said the acquisition reinforces its commitment to delivering efficient, reliable and modern waste management services for the City of Harare.

The newly acquired fleet consists of 25 compactors, 16 tipper trucks, 10 skip trucks and five sweepers. According to the company, these additions will significantly improve operational performance and complement its existing machinery, leading to faster turnaround times and enhanced service delivery across the city.

Harare has faced persistent waste management challenges in recent years, with intermittent refuse collection contributing to environmental and public health concerns.
