A Masvingo tuckshop was on Saturday night shot dead by yet-to-be-identified robbers who were armed with a pistol.
Michael Munhungowarwa, 41, was shot dead while closing his shop along Kaguvi Streret in Mucheke B, Masvingo around 9pm.
Police confirmed the incident saying: “The suspect pounced at the tuckshop when the victim and his wife, Martha Taguta, 26, were packing groceries while preparing to close the shop for the day.”
The robbers stole an unknown amount of money before disappearing.
Police are appealing for anyone with information which can lead to the arrest of the suspects.
