8 arrested for armed robbery

Police have confirmed the arrest of eight men in connection with a slew of that include armed robbery, rape, unlawful entry into premises and theft which occurred around Chinhoyi, Kadoma and Mhangura between January 10 and 24 this year.

According to police, the eight are Prince Dube, 23; Maxwell Karoterote, 28; Dennis Tshuma, 24; Lloyd Makiwa, 28; Maxwell Arozho Adamson Sikanyika, 36; Brian Sibanda, 32; Tinashe Gandawa, 27 and Brian Bhamu.

“On 23rd January, 2023, detectives in Chinhoyi arrested the suspects after receiving information that the suspects were seen sharing some groceries stolen at Abundance Grace Shop, Avelone Park Shopping Centre, Chinhoyi on 23rd January, 2023 t around 0100hrs. The arrest led to the recovery of groceries ranging from several cartons of cooking oil, washing powder and an HP Pro-Book laptop,” police said in a statement.
