The Mash Central Achievers Awards successfully launched its fourth edition on 6 December 2025, celebrating over 40 outstanding individuals at a vibrant ceremony in Bindura.

The event marked another milestone for the awards, which continue to grow in influence across Mashonaland Central Province.

The 2025 edition received official support from provincial leadership, highlighting the government’s recognition of the awards’ role in promoting excellence and community development.

Speaking to ZimNow, MCAA Chairman Ezekiel Manjengenja reflected on the initiative’s journey. “Although the first edition was daunting due to uncertainty over public acceptance, the team remained committed, driven by passion and the desire to succeed. This determination has helped elevate the awards to new heights,” he said.

In 2019, Mr. Manjengenja partnered with Vice Chairman Saidi Umtali, a community arts enthusiast, to strengthen the initiative. Their collaboration made the Mash Central Achievers Awards the first platform of its kind in the province, setting a historic benchmark.
