According to the State, the accused persons allegedly gathered at Robert Mugabe Square, also known as Freedom Square, intending to march to State House to call for the resignation of President Emmerson Mnangagwa. The alleged demonstration took place earlier this month.

Prosecutors say the event was organized by Geza, together with opposition activist Godfrey Karembera, and that participants were instructed to proceed in a procession towards State House. The State further alleges that the crowd became hostile when police attempted to disperse them, leading to the arrests.
