16-Year-Old Tadiwanashe Chakuchichi Makes Zimbabwe AFCON Squad

Zimbabwe have named their final squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Morocco, with 16-year-old winger Tadiwanashe Chakuchichi earning a place in the Warriors’ team. The biennial tournament kicks off on December 21 and will run until January 18 next year, with Zimbabwe drawn in Group B.

However, Warriors vice captain Munetsi and Jordan Zemura have been dropped from the final Warriors squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The duo picked up injuries in the past week, with Munetsi suffering a calf injury during Wolverhampton’s match against Nottingham Forest last Wednesday, while Zemura sustained a thigh issue in Udinese’s 2-1 loss against Genoa on Monday.
