Raine, Galberth Set for Harare Return

The return of Naomi Raine and Todd Galberth to Zimbabwe next year is quietly confirming a shift that has been building for several seasons: Harare is no longer a once-off stop for global gospel acts, but a city artists are choosing to return to.

The two award-winning artists will headline the Everywhere Tour at the Harare International Conference Centre on March 13, 2026, a decision driven less by touring routine and more by what organisers describe as sustained audience response from their 2024 appearance.

When Raine and Galberth last performed in Harare as part of the Maverick City tour, the turnout and level of engagement caught the attention of promoters and touring teams alike. Their upcoming return signals that Zimbabwean audiences are increasingly influencing tour routes rather than merely receiving them.

“This is not an ordinary concert,” said Events by GEC event director Lyncolin Kapswara. “Naomi Raine and Todd Galberth are voices that have shaped modern worship worldwide, and having them minister together in Harare again is a significant moment for the faith community.”

Beyond the headline acts, the concert reflects a deeper trend in Zimbabwe’s worship landscape, where faith-based events are increasingly treated as spaces for community rather than one-night performances. Organisers say this has reshaped how international artists assess the local market.

“These concerts go beyond music,” Kapswara said. “They create space for believers to meet, experience God together, and be reminded that worship is something we do as a community. That’s the heart of this event.”

Preparations are already underway at the HICC, one of the country’s largest indoor venues, with early interest suggesting a draw beyond Harare. The event is expected to attract worshippers from neighbouring countries, adding momentum to the city’s growing profile on international worship tour circuits.

Events by GEC, which has consistently brought international gospel artists to Zimbabwe, says the goal is not just to host concerts, but to position Harare as a destination artists deliberately include in their touring plans.
