Zimbabwe Under-19s suffered a nine-wicket defeat to Pakistan Under-19s in the final of the youth one-day international tri-series at Old Hararians Sports Club on Tuesday.

After choosing to bat, Zimbabwe were rocked early, collapsing to 15 for five as Umar Zaib ripped through the top order. Michael Blignaut led a brave recovery with a composed 60, supported by Tatenda Chimugoro’s unbeaten 28, but Zimbabwe were bowled out for 158 in 44.4 overs.
Pakistan made light work of the chase, driven by a sensational century from Sameer Minhas, who smashed 114 from just 51 balls. The visitors reached 160 for one in only 16.2 overs to seal the title, leaving Zimbabwe to rue a costly early collapse despite flashes of resilience.
