
A 35-year-old man from Waterfalls, Innocent Museruka, has appeared before the Harare Magistrates’ Court facing attempted murder charges following a violent knife attack on New Year’s Day.
The court heard that on January 1, 2026, at around 6am, Museruka allegedly stabbed Morgan Kamba once in the back during an incident along Mugarisanwa Street in Stoneridge Park, Waterfalls.

Prosecutors told the court that Museruka unlawfully and intentionally attacked Kamba with a knife, fully aware that his actions could potentially result in death.
Despite recognising the real risk, Museruka is alleged to have proceeded with the violent act.
The motive behind the altercation has not yet been disclosed.
The matter was postponed to a later date for further remand as investigations continue. Museruka remains in custody pending his next court appearance.
The victim’s condition was not immediately disclosed.
