
A 22-year-old Tsholotsho man has been sentenced to 12 months in prison after stabbing a 40-year-old man with an okapi knife during a late-night altercation at Majaha Shops.
The accused, Zibusiso Dube, also known as Sibanda, committed the offence on January 2, 2026, after being confronted for carrying a knife in public.

Court records show that Dube initially walked away from the scene following the warning but later returned and attacked the complainant from behind, stabbing him on the right side of the head.
The victim sustained a cut wound as a result of the assault.
The Tsholotsho Magistrates’ Court convicted Dube of assault and sentenced him to 12 months’ imprisonment.
